The APLIMO information system (APLIS) was further developed from the established VAREX information manager (VIM) in order to visualize the messages from a fire alarm control panel via the Internet at any location.The APLISmobile app consists, on the one hand, of an interface tailored to the needs of the fire department, with a detailed view of the fire department display table (FAT), as well as direct display of fire department routing cards and fire department plans. Furthermore, a specific installer view was implemented, which enables the technician to query the status of the system quickly and clearly. An event memory and a maintenance module are also integrated into APLISmobile.APLIS basically consists of 2 components:The APLIS data server is installed in the property and serves as a storage location for sensitive data such as fire department routing cards and fire department plans. By connecting to a fire alarm control panel, the APLIS data server receives all relevant messages in the event of an incident, evaluates them and displays them with assigned fire protection graphics. With optional Internet access, selected information can be forwarded in a targeted and encrypted manner.The APLIS connection server is a security server hosted in Germany that sets up an SSL-encrypted VPN route to the APLIS data server. All assigned servers are clearly listed and authenticated remote access is enabled. All incoming events are also transmitted to authorized APLISmobile users via push notification. The authorizations of individual users can be administered individually in the APLIS connection server.
